Delicious Homemade Dumplings: A Recipe Worth Trying
Dumplings are a kind of delicious food that is cherished by many human beings all over the world. They are available in different shapes, sizes and flavors, and they are made from quite a few materials. However, they may all be equally tasty and satisfying regardless of their type. Ingredients:
The Dough:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Three / four cups of warm water
To fill:
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup chopped cabbage
- Half a glass of chopped green onions
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
Take a bowl and mix the flour with salt
first.
Gradually add the new water, stirring with
chopsticks or a wooden spoon until the dough comes together. Knead the dough
for about 5 minutes until it becomes clean and elastic. Leave it covered for forty-five
minutes with a damp fabric.

Tips:
You can also fry dumplings to get a crispy
consistency. Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat and add the
dumplings. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Then, add a few more
water to the pan and cowl with a lid. Cook for any other three-5 minutes or
until the dumplings are cooked through.
You can also freeze dumplings for later.
Arrange the raw dumplings on a baking sheet coated with parchment paper, put
them inside the freezer so that they may be stable frozen. Transfer the frozen
dumplings to a resealable bag and store in the freezer for up to 3 months. When
you want to cook dinner for them, boil or fry them in the pan without thawing.
